Sponsors
Sponsors are private equity firms that have ownership stakes in companies that BDCs lend to. Quantuma infers sponsor relationships from public data and links them to portfolio companies and the BDCs that provide financing.
Sponsor list
Navigate to Explore > Sponsors in the left sidebar. The list shows all PE sponsors identified in the BDC universe.
Click Filter to search by name, domain, HQ country, HQ state, location, industries, or other fields. Operators include equals, not equals, contains, and not in. Click Display to show/hide columns. Star any sponsor to add it to your Home favourites.
Sponsor detail
Click a sponsor row to open the detail page. The header shows the sponsor name and associated details.

- Lender Relationships — Chart showing which BDCs lend to this sponsor’s companies (deals count and total exposure)
- Refi Pipeline — Companies in the refi window or showing stress signals, with columns: Company, Principal, Spread, Avg Mark, Mark Divergence, Maturity, Seasoning, Refi Signal (Stressed badge)
- About — Description of the sponsor
Contacts
Table of the sponsor’s key personnel: Name (with photo), LinkedIn URL, Email, Job Title.
News
Table of recent headlines related to the sponsor: Headline, Category, Source, Date.
PortCos
Table of the sponsor’s portfolio companies: Company (with logo), Domain, Industries, Total Investment, Headcount. This list also shows companies that the sponsor may have exited. If you want to filter by current companies only, then set filter: ‘status’ contains ‘current’. This will show the companies that are currently held by the sponsor, as of the last data refresh. Click a row to navigate to the borrower detail page.
Lenders
Table of BDCs lending to this sponsor’s companies: Lender, Ticker, Type (BDC badge), Total Exposure. Click a row to open the right drawer with lender details.
Right panel (always visible)
The right panel shows persistent context:
- Firmographics — Name, Industries, Headcount, HQ State, Domain (with external link), plus expandable “Show 9 more fields”
- Contacts — Top 3 contacts with name and title
- News — Latest 3 headlines with category badge and timestamp
- PortCos — Quick links to portfolio companies
